American Indian College Fund

The American Indian College Fund provides scholarships and other support for the American Indian students. The Fund disburses approximately 6,000 scholarships annually for American Indian students seeking to better their lives through higher education. The Fund also provides support for tribal college needs ranging from capital support to cultural preservation activities.

American Indian Students United for Nursing

The American Indian Students United for Nursing (ASUN) Project was established in the Fall of 1990 by a grant from the Indian Health Service (IHS). The Purpose of ASUN is to increase the number of American Indians studying nursing at ASU and the number of nurses providing care to American Indians. The ASUN Project seeks to support and add to curriculum material and clinical opportunities which focus on American Indian health issues.

National Museum of the American Indian

The National Museum of the American Indian is the sixteenth museum of the Smithsonian Institution. It is the first national museum dedicated to the preservation, study, and exhibition of the life, languages, literature, history, and arts of Native Americans. Established by an act of Congress in 1989, the museum works in collaboration with the Native peoples of the Western Hemisphere to protect and foster their cultures by reaffirming traditions and beliefs, encouraging contemporary artistic expression, and empowering the Indian voice.

Native Learning Center

The Native Learning Center (NLC) offers free courses and training to Native Americans which address the specific educational needs of tribal members through 'best practices' that speak directly to tribal communities.
